Ahlul Bayt News Agency - The deputy head of the Higher Shiite Islamic Council, Sheikh Abdul Amir Qabalan, has praised Iran's stances and its wide-scale efforts for consolidation of unity in the world of Islam, supporting issues related to Muslims, especially those in Palestine.
Qabalan told the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought (WFPIST) Secretary General, Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, that Iran has always been contributing to preservation of unity in the world of Islam and cooperation among Muslim nations.
Araki is on a visit to Beirut at the head of a delegation. The WFPIST envoy in Lebanon Sheikh Hessan Abdullah and Iran's Charge D'Affaires in Beirut Mohammad Sadeq Fazli were also present in the meeting with Qabalan.
The Lebanese personality told the audience that Iran has always been supporting the world Muslims and oppressed in the face of enemies of Islam, leaving an influential role in victories of Muslim nations and their overcoming problems and crises.
He said Iran has always been supporting the legitimate anti-Zionist resistance, that tries to save Muslim Ummah and Arabs from Zionists' colonialistic plots.
He asked Arabs and Muslims to set aside differences and concentrate their efforts to stand the occupier Zionists in Palestine.
The Two sides in the meeting called for more efforts by Muslims to strengthen unity, solidarity, and cooperation and counter Zionist and Takfiri terrorism.
They warned against danger of terrorist Takfiris to distort image of Islam, massacre of the innocent people and escalate tension in ties among Muslims.
